Our Story
The Intersection of Form, Function & the Soul of the Home
Cole Mateo Co was founded on the belief that furniture should be more than functional—it should be the structural anchor of a life well-lived. Every piece we curate celebrates craftsmanship, material integrity, and timeless design.
Philosophy
The Tactile Perspective
We reject the sterile "white-box" approach in favor of warmth, texture, and authenticity. Our curation process prioritizes pieces that develop character over time—solid hardwoods that patina, natural textiles that soften, metals that gain depth.
Every surface in your home tells a story. We ensure it's one worth telling.
Material Integrity
We source only solid hardwoods, natural fabrics, and honest materials. No veneers pretending to be solid, no synthetic substitutes.
Timeless Design
Every piece in our collection transcends trends. We invest in designs that will look as purposeful in twenty years as they do today.
Thoughtful Curation
We don't carry everything. Each piece earns its place through rigorous evaluation of craft, comfort, and aesthetic harmony.
